OPPO A83 with 18:9 Display, 3GB RAM Launching in India on January 20


OPPO has tweeted a post on Twitter on Tuesday, about its latest mid-range smartphone OPPO A83. This device has been revealed in China in December, will be launched in India on Saturday, January 20th. This device comes with 18:9 aspect ratio Display and Face Unlock. But the company has not yet revealed the price of this smartphone. By the rumours, this device will be priced at Rs. 13,390 in India.

OPPO A83 was launched in Black and Champagne colour variants in China. The Tweet by OPPO suggests the Champagne Variant will be launch in India, but as per the reports, we can expect both the variants will be launched in India. This smartphone was priced at CNY 1,399 in China and we can expect the same price Rs. 13,990 in India.

OPPO A83 Specifications

OPPO A83 comes with a 5.7-inch (720x1440pixels) Full HD+ LCD Display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6763T processor. This device was launched with 4GB RAM variant in China and in India, we can expect the 3GB RAM variant to be launched. It has 32GB of inbuilt storage which can also be expandable up to 256GB via MicroSD card slot.

This device sport 13-Megapixel rear camera with an LED Flash. On the front, it bears an 8-Megapixel selfie camera for selfie lovers to shoot perfect selfies and make video calls. This device also supports 4G VoLTE and other connectivity features like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM Radio Micro USB and 3.5mm Audio Jack. OPPO A83 boasts a 3090mAh of the battery.

OPPO A83 also supports facial recognition and the company claims that it will unlock the device in 0.18sec.
