Xiaomi Redmi 5
Xiaomi has already sent out the media invites with a big “5” logo for the launch of Xiaomi’s first product for 2018 in India. We can expect it will be the Xiaomi’s latest budget smartphone and is expected to revealed in India on February 14th. Assume that Redmi 5 to be sold in India in 2GB RAM With 16GB storage, 3GB RAM with 32GB storage and 4GB RAM with 32GB storage. However there are no any updates on the Redmi 5 Plus Launch at this event.
As we said earlier, Xiaomi is expected to unveil its Redmi 5 smartphone in India on February 14th. This device was already launched in China earlier in December 2017 in Light Blue, Gold, Rose Gold and Black colour variants. Talking about its price, the 2GB RAM variant is at CNY 799 (approx Rs. 8,100), the 3GB RAM variant is at CNY 899 (approx Rs. 9,100). Earlier this month they have also launched 4GB RAM variant at CNY 1,099 (approx Rs. 11,200). Whereas the Redmi 5 Plus 3GB RAM variant is priced at CNY 999 (approx Rs. 10,200) and the 4GB RAM variant is at CNY 1,299 (approx Rs. 13,200). Yet the availability and price details of the device in India are not revealed.
Redmi 5, Redmi 5 Plus Specifications
Xiaomi Redmi 5 comes with a 5.7-inch (720x1440pixels) HD+ Display, whereas the Redmi 5 Plus comes with 5.99-inch (1080x2160pixels) Full HD+ Display, both with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The Redmi 5 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 Processor and the Redmi 5 Plus is powered by Snapdragon 625 processor. It has 2GB/3GB/4GB RAM and 16GB/32GB inbuilt storages, whereas the Redmi 5 Plus coupled with 2GB/3GB RAM with 32GB/64GB of inbuilt.
Coming to its camera, both the device sports 12-Megapixel rear sensor with an f/2.2 aperture and PDAF autofocus. On the front, it bears a 5-Megapixel selfie camera with soft-light selfie flash support. The fingerprint sensor is fitted on the rear panel of the device.
It also has connectivity features like 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro USB and 3.5mm Audio jack. Both the devices also support sensors include the accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope and proximity sensor. The Redmi 5 boasts a 3300mAh battery and Redmi 5 Plus boasts a 4000mAh battery.
